Louise Elizabeth McKinstry, age 90 of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2020 in Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehabilitation, Pinckneyville, IL.
Louise was born on December 21, 1929, in Perry County, IL, a daughter to Fred and Birdie (Marlow) Stockton. On September 9, 1950 Louise married Leonard McKinstry in Tamaroa, IL and he preceded her in death on July 15, 2002. She had worked at the Pinckneyville Garment Factory and Bridal Original's. She was a wife and homemaker and more. Louise was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL and loved quilting, gardening, card playing, traveling with friends to various places such as Ireland, fishing and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her two sons, Randy McKinstry of Pinckneyville, IL and Steven (Debbie) McKinstry of Pinckneyvillle, IL; two daughters, Donna Schwarz of DuQuoin, IL and Debra (Michael) Halfacre of Pinckneyville, IL; eight grandchildren, Michelle (Paul) Hill, Eric (Victoria) Halfacre, David McKinstry, Jon McKinstry, Rhonda (Steven) Reidelberger, Kyle (Autumn) Halfacre, Lyndsey (Reggie) Epplin and Skyler (Rebekah) Schwarz; eleven great-grandchildren, Nikolaus Hill, Atlas Halfacre, Jonah Halfacre, Alex Hagene, Jackson McKinstry, Harper McKinstry, Chesney Epplin, Everleigh Epplin, Nattella Halfacre, Havilah Halfacre and Lucas Reidelberger; three sisters, Helen Feltmeyer of Greenville, IL, Mabel Baudison of Pinckneyville, IL and Vicky (Jack) Jones of Newburgh, IN; one brother-in-law, Bob Neville of Decatur, IL; one sister-in-law, Ann Stockton of St. Charles, MO; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Kenneth Stockton and Robert Stockton; one sister, Marjorie Neville; two brothers-in-law, Orville Feltmeyer and Bob Baudison; and one son-in-law, Mark Schwarz.
A graveside service will be held at Oak Grove Baptist Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Rob Mathis officiating. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. The Funeral Home asks that all attendees please wear a mask.
Visitation will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
Due to health concerns related to the Covid-19 virus and by the signing of executive order by Governor J.B. Pritzker, Phase Four attendance will be limited to 50 people, masks will be required and social distancing will be enforced. The Funeral Home asks that all attendees wear a mask.
