Louis J. Wildermuth's Obituary
Louis Jacob Wildermuth, age 69, of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 12:46 a.m. in Coulterville Rehabilitation and Healthcare, Coulterville, IL. Louis was born on March 28, 1947 in DuQuoin, IL, a son to Louis E. and Mildred Louise (Loos) Wildermuth. On December 26, 1971, he married Margaret J. "Marge" Fortner in Fairbanks, AK and she preceded him in death on June 1, 1992. Louis was a veteran of the United States Air Force, proudly serving his country as a medic during Vietnam. He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville, IL, worked as a coal miner for Captain Mine for many years, served as Perry County Road Commissioner for a number of years and farmed. Louis loved to hunt raccoons, loved his farm and his cattle and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include one son, Timothy (Tracy) Wildermuth of Pinckneyville, IL; two grandchildren, Tyler and Taylor Wildermuth of Pinckneyville, IL; one brother, Randy (Laura) Wildermuth of New Athens, IL; two sisters, Brenda Payne of Dallas, TX and Lois Wildermuth of Carterville, IL; special friend, Allene Kothe of Steeleville, IL and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sister, Marjorie Kline and brother, Danny Wildermuth. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
