Louis Rosie Flowers' Obituary
Rosie Flowers, age 86, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2008 at 7:15 a.m. in Fairview Nursing Center, DuQuoin, IL. Rosie was born on November 4, 1921 in Pinckneyville, IL, a son to Bill and Lena (Heidelberger) Atteberry. On November 27, 1945 he married Bonnie Tanner and she preceded him in death on May 12, 2001. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL. Rosie served in the Army during World War II and was a union painter. Survivors include one son: Ralph (Deanna) Flowers of Pinckneyville, IL, three grandchildren: Matthew Flowers and Mark (Sherry) Flowers, both of Pinckneyville, IL, and Geanna (Jason) Evelan of Carlyle, IL, three great-grandchildren: Tyler Ann Flowers, Shay Dillon Flowers and Madelyn Renee Flowers. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother: Milton Flowers and two sisters: Virginia Morgenstern and Pauline Mifflin. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Monday, October 6, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Tim Bauersachs officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL.
