Louis A. Pittman's Obituary
Louis A. Pittman, age 91, of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in Cedar Ridge Health and Rehab Center, Lebanon, IL.
Louis was born on February 8, 1928 in Osceola, AR, a son to Tom and Mary (Reed) Pittman. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy having served during World War II. On June 3, 1950, he married Helen Arnold in Blytheville, AR and she preceded him in death on October 6, 2019 after 69 years of marriage. He had retired from General Motors and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Sparta, IL. Louis loved his church and he loved to farm.
Survivors include his daughter, Sharon Kay (Roger) Davis of O'Fallon, IL; two grandchildren, Laura René (Neal) Gramenz of Steeleville, IL and Curtis Brandon Burnett of St. Louis, MO; five great-grandchildren, Amber Nicole Gramenz of Coulterville, IL, Ashlie Christine Gramenz of Woodland Park, CO; Jaylan Burnett of Atlanta, GA, and Easton and Weston Burnett of St. Louis, MO; one step-great-grandchild, Jessa Gramenz of Great Vine, TX; four brothers and their families; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Tim McIntyre officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL with military graveside rites by Presswood-Daffron American Legion Post #2504.
Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, Sparta, IL.
