Loretta Mae Clark's Obituary
Loretta Mae Clark, age 91, of DuQuoin, IL, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2015 in Marshall Browning Hospital Emergency Room, DuQuoin, IL. Loretta was born on May 4, 1924 in Pinckneyville, IL, a daughter to Carl and Pearl (Lipe) Milligan. On October 17, 1948, she married Robert William Clark in Pinckneyville, IL and he preceded her in death on June 1, 2001 after 52 years of marriage. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, DuQuoin, IL and had worked as the cafeteria manager at Marshall Browning Hospital, DuQuoin, IL for 18 years. She was very actively involved in her church, enjoyed playing piano and reading and loved her family. Survivors include her two sons, Ronald (Barbara) Clark of Christopher, IL and Bruce (Teresa) Clark of Murfreesboro, TN; a daughter, Sherry (Leonard) Rice of DuQuoin, IL; six grandchildren, Rhonda (Jimmy) Combs of West Frankfort, IL, Beth (Edward) Mudgette of Sesser, IL, Sean Clark of Murfreesboro, TN, Ashley (Douglas) Fowler of Murfreesboro, TN, Kayleigh (Jason) Brown of Murfreesboro, TN and Bryce Clark of Murfreesboro, TN; seven great-grandchildren, Christopher Shelby of DuQuoin, IL, Cody Shelby of West Frankfort, IL, Katie Keith of Sesser, IL, and Gabriel Fowler, Gideon Fowler, Evelyn Fowler and Elijah Fowler, all of Murfreesboro, TN and a great-great-grandson, Cameron Shelby. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Gregory Allen Clark; a brother and a sister. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, DuQuoin, IL on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Joe Wagner officiating. Interment will be in Old DuQuoin Cemetery, DuQuoin, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, DuQuoin, IL on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, DuQuoin, IL or Perry County Humane Society.
