Lonie Todd's Obituary
Lonie B. Todd, age 96, of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016, at 4:20 a.m. in Coulterville Care Center, Coulterville, IL. Lonie was born on December 31, 1919 in Chestnut Mound, TN, a daughter to Ben and Lillie Mae (Autry) Beasley. She first married Fred Powers and he preceded her in death in November 1955. On June 27, 1959, she married William "Bill" Todd in Belleville, IL and he preceded her in death on April 5, 2011. Lonie worked for Boman's Meat Market, Coulterville, IL many years ago and was a member of Royal Neighbors. She loved to quilt and embroider tablecloths. Survivors include a son, Jim (Jitter) Powers of Coulterville, IL; daughter Mary Ann (Steve) Cook of Fairview Heights, IL; five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; one daughter, Betty Casteel; two brothers, Robert Beasley and Willie Beasley and a sister, Mary Busdicker. Graveside services will be held at Coulterville City Cemetery, Coulterville, IL on Monday, September 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Jeff Downard officiating. Interment will be in Coulterville City Cemetery, Coulterville, IL. Family and friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
