Lois Kimzey's Obituary
Lois Kimzey, age 83, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 10:30 p.m. in Pinckneyville Healthcare, Pinckneyville, IL. Lois was born on November 16, 1930 in Pinckneyville, IL, a daughter to Charles and Irene (Gregory) Neville. On September 18, 1948, she married James Kimzey in Pinckneyville, IL and he survives. Lois was a member of Beaucoup Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL and was very active in her church. She enjoyed quilting, making Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls and followed high school basketball. She fought the good fight, she finished the race, she kept the faith. Survivors include her husband James Kimzey of Pinckneyville, IL; a son Charles (Diana) Kimzey of Arnold, MO; four grandchildren, Katherine Kimzey, Charles Kimzey, David Kimzey and Nancy (Will) Ross; great grandson, Peter Ross; two sisters, Charlene (Bill) Brooks and Gayla (Ron) Hammel all of DuQuoin, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Martha Heape and sister, Bonnie (Bob) Benedict. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Mark Lee officiating. Interment will be in Galum Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to donor's choice.
