Lois Mae (Ramsey) Folden's Obituary
Lois Mae (Ramsey) Folden, age 77, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 3:43 p.m., peacefully in her home.
Lois was born on March 2, 1948, in Pinckneyville, IL, a daughter to Lovell L. “Slim/ Bacon” and Inez “Faye” (Flare) Ramsey. She enjoyed watching the show Oak Island and doing genealogy. Lois was an avid collector of Betty Boop memorabilia. She loved traveling, remodeling and spending time with her family, especially babysitting the little kids. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her one daughter, Dawn (Steve) Tanner of Pinckneyville, IL; one son, Kristopher Johnson of Pinckneyville, IL; four grandchildren, Dustin Tanner, Antony Johnson, Skye (Clayton Wyciskalla) Tanner and Korbin Johnson all of Pinckneyville, IL; expecting her first great grandchild in February 2026; five brothers and sisters, Shirley (Don) Wylie of Washington, IL, Ray Ramsey of Pinckneyville, IL, Grover (Shirley) Ramsey of DuQuoin, IL, Randy (Debbie) Ramsey of Pinckneyville, IL, Glenda Gilter of Oakdale, IL; close friend, Clydine Hardin; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Connie Ramsey.
A celebration of life will be held at the Eagles Annex (9 South Walnut Street, Pinckneyville, IL 62274), on Saturday, November 15, 2025, between 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Ronald McDonald House or to the Shriner’s Hospital.
