Linda Lee Wooten's Obituary
Linda Lee Wooten, age 63, of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 5:30 p.m. at her home after a battle with glioblastoma. She was surrounded by her loved ones. Linda was born on June 19, 1950 in Belleville, IL, a daughter to William "Bill" and Lillian (Offerman) Frederking. On May 11, 1968, she married Richard Wooten in Concord Baptist Church, Rice, IL and he survives. She was a graduate of Pinckneyville Community High School, Pinckneyville, IL and worked at the First National Bank of Sparta, Sparta, IL for 37 years. She was of the Baptist faith, a member of V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post #6865, Coulterville, IL and Marissa Recreational Area. She loved spending time with family and friends. She also loved riding and showing quarter horses, camping, golfing and was proud that twice she got double eagle holes-in-one on a par 4. She lived life to the fullest and maintained her sense of humor until the end. Linda's positive outlook on life and infectious laughter will be truly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Richard Wooten of Coulterville, IL; son, Richard Wooten, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Julie Follman, both of University City, MO; sister, Anna Marie 'Tudy' (Bud) Sheeler; brothers, Clyde Frederking and Frederick (Brenda) Frederking, all of Coulterville, IL; sister-in-law, Theresa (Marty) Patton of Sparta, IL; sister-in-law, Rita (Larry) Kelly of Sikeston, MO; and expecting a granddaughter on August 21, 2013. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, Mary Beth Sheeler, Fred Frederking, Clete Frederking, Daryl Frederking, Melanie Frederking, Susan Phillips, Liz Beckley, Ronni Nagel, Garrett Kelly and Wesley Kelly. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Kristin Rae Wooten and her nephew, Jeff Frederking. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Friday, August 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Clifton Lingle and Robert Graham officiating. Interment will be in Coulterville City Cemetery, Coulterville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Coulterville Public School c/o Girls Golf Team.
