Leeburn L. Shaw, age 76, of Tamaroa, IL, passed away Saturday evening, February 3, 2007 at Carbondale Memorial Hospital, Carbondale, IL. Leeburn was born in Elkville, IL, Jan 23, 1931, the son of John and Edna (Foster) Shaw. Leeburn served in the U.S. Army Reserves during the Korean Conflict. He was united in marriage to Norma Elaine Knight December 1, 1956 and she survives. Leeburn worked as a parts inspector at the former Turco plant, was a member of the American Legion, and attended the First United Pentecostal Church of DuQuoin, IL. Leeburn is survived by his wife, three sons, David Lee Shaw of Thompsonville, IL, Daniel Leeburn Shaw and his wife Elizabeth of Pinckneyville, IL, Rick Lee Shaw and wife Sherrel of DuQuoin, IL, two daughters, Elaine Ridgeway of Thompsonville, IL, Terry Overton of Pinckneyville, IL, two sisters, Mae Hartsock and husband James of Clarkston, MI, Rosemary Wardell and husband Dwayne of Pontiac, MI, eight grandchildren, Randy and David Ridgeway, Justin Overton and wife Jami, Lindy Overton, Joshua and Candace Shaw, Missy Howerton and husband Derek and Tish Shaw, three great-grandchildren, Graven, Chance and Seth Howerton. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Gilbert, Delbert and LeRoy Shaw and Rudy Barnett, two sisters, Lillian Halstead, Juanita Wilks, three grandchildren, Shawn, Rhonda and Amanda Ridgeway. Funeral services will be at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in DuQuoin, IL on Wednesday afternoon, February 7, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend C.L. McKinnies officiating. Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, DuQuoin, IL. Friends may call at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in DuQuoin, IL on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. till Services. Memorials may be made to the First United Pentecostal Church of DuQuoin, IL.
