LaVina B. Freeman's Obituary
LaVina B. Freeman, age 103, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away Saturday evening, Jan 20, 2007, at the Skilled Care Unit of the Pinckneyville Community Hospital. LaVina was born February 1, 1903 in Pinckneyville, IL, the daughter of Sterling and Louise (Hopp) Marlow. She was united in marriage to Roy Freeman in Salem, IL on July 18, 1934 and he preceded her in death on October 23, 1979. LaVina was a 70 year member of the First Baptist Church of Pinckneyville, IL, 50 year member of Royal Neighbors and Eastern Star, 45 year member of White Shrine Women's Club, Past Matron's Club of the Eastern Star, Past President of the Pinckneyville Hospital Auxiliary, and was a homemaker. LaVina is survived by a brother, Carl Marlow of Pinckneyville, IL, two sisters, Eva Lee Tanner and Gladys Seibert both of Pinckneyville, IL, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Charles, Albert, and Sherman Marlow, three sisters, Kathryn Eldridge, Hazel Lee, and Mary Craig. Funeral services will be at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, in Pinckneyville, IL, January 23, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Rick Hatley officiating. Interment will be in the Campbell Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home Monday evening, January 22, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday morning from 8:00 a.m. till Services. Memorials may be made to the Pinckneyville Hospital Skilled Care Unit or American Heart Association.
