Larry Raymond Roethe's Obituary
Larry Raymond Roethe, age 60, of Royalton, IL, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at 9:35 p.m. in Marshall Browning Hospital, DuQuoin, IL. Larry was born on October 30, 1956 in Pinckneyville, IL, a son to Otto and Mary L. (Shockley) Roethe. On April 11, 1981, he married Rebekah Klohr at St. John Lutheran Church, Red Bud, IL and she survives. Larry was an engineer for AT&T Mobility and a radio engineer for WBGL. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Pinckneyville, IL and IEEE Professional Organization. He loved working in all types of radio and computers and was a storm spotter and weather watcher. Survivors include his wife, Rebekah Roethe of Royalton, IL; mother, Mary Roethe of Metropolis, IL; one nephew, Isaac (Ella) Roethe of Ulm, Germany; one great-nephew, Leonardo Roethe; and a great-niece, Emelia Roethe. He was preceded in death by his father; and one brother, Jerry Roethe. Funeral services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor David Kollmeyer officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church, Pinckneyville, IL from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
