Larry Dunklin's Obituary
Larry Dunklin, age 69, of DuQuoin, IL passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at 8:46 p.m., in Deaconess Regional Healthcare Services, Marion, IL, surrounded by his friends and family.
Larry was born on August 26, 1955 in Loda, IL a son to Archie and Irene (Simmons) Dunklin. On august 2, 1986, he married Terry L. Brown at their home in DuQuoin, IL. Larry retired as a construction worker. He was part of Labors International Union of North America Local Union #773 out of Marion, IL. Larry enjoyed playing: cornhole, video games, softball, tennis, and basketball. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Larry will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Terry Dunklin of DuQuoin, IL; one son, Ty’re Dunklin of DuQuoin, IL; twelve siblings, JoAnn (Dunklin) Myers of DuQuoin, IL;, Shirley Jean Williams of DuQuoin, IL;, Roselena Banks of Virgina, Prozener Myers of Aurora, IL, Geraldine Holder of Herrin, IL, Gloria Jean Davis of Champaign, IL, Jelena Wilcher of Olive Branch, MS, Archie Dunklin of DuQuoin, IL, Molener Dunklin of Rockford, IL, Dexter Dunklin of DuQuoin, IL, Michael Dunklin of Bloomington, IL and Paul Dunklin of DuQuoin, IL; two grandchildren, Ty’re Dunklin and Talliyah Dunklin both of DuQuoin, IL; his bags family; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Earnest Dunklin.
A visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, DuQuoin, IL on Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
It was Larry’s wishes to be cremated after the visitation.
Memorial donations may be made to the funeral home.
