Kevin Lee Lancaster's Obituary
Kevin Lee Lancaster, the son of Dale and Edith (Carson) Lancaster passed away at his home in Columbia, Missouri on October 3, 2013 at the age of 39. Kevin was born on March 25, 1974 in Creve Coeur, MO. He was a graduate of Lafayette High School and attended Truman State University where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He was on the staff of the college newspaper and the Student Advisory Board. Kevin was a very creative person and enjoyed being with other people. He was his happiest doing volunteer work. He volunteered for the JDRF, the food bank and various other organizations. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, was an avid reader and writer, and he enjoyed listening to music, and walking or jogging. Survivors include his parents and one brother, Darren of Sydney, Australia; his grandmother, Annabel Lancaster of Olathe, KS; aunts and uncles, Cecil and Myrene Alfeldt of Oakdale, Il, and Don and Donna Coyne of Olathe, KS; and cousins, Greg Alfeldt, Karen Alfeldt, Mark Coyne and Reagan Adams. He was preceded in death by his brother, Brian and his grandparents, Stuart and Eleanora Carson and Warren Lancaster. Funeral services will be held at United Presbyterian Church, Oakdale, IL on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Ron Mazander officiating. Interment will be in Oakdale Cemetery, Oakdale, IL. Friends may call at United Presbyterian Church, Oakdale, IL on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation St. Louis Chapter.
