I want to extend my deepest sympathy to you and your families on the passing of Ken. I am praying for your peace and comfort today as you say goodbye. Ken is with Douglas in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

My mom, Joan Miller, was a close friend of Marilyn's & via her, Ken. Mom loved Ken & Marilyn. I remember their cat, Magic, always had huge litters & we got a couple kittens from them. I also vaguely remember them having a cocker spaniel and babysitting once for Susan. When I was a senior in high school in 1979, I was a candidate for Miss WHCO. The initial part of the contest was to get votes via members of the community when they made purchases at registered businesses. Ken voted for me when he bought building materials at the lumberyard on Water Street for his work as a contractor, so of course I won the Pinckneyville slot for the pageant. Thanks to his kindness, I became a runner up. That was very thoughtful & generous of him. I and our family appreciated it very much. My condolences to Lisa, Susan and Marilyn. I pray their memories will bring much comfort.

Dearest Kenny, we will miss you talking with you during our visits to the manor. You were a good friend to my mama before she passed. And that meant the world to her and to us. Dash (your other favorite golden retriever) sends puppy drool kisses to you in Heaven. May you gaze upon the face God for eternity. Our deepest condolences to your family and friends.
