Kenneth Jacob Malott's Obituary
Kenneth Jacob Malott, age 77, of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 11:05 a.m. at his nephew's home, Coulterville, IL. Kenneth was born on July 20, 1939 in Washington County, IL, a son to Ardell and Bessie V. (Arnett) Malott. Kenneth was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War as an M.P. in Germany. He was retired from Monsanto. He loved all sports and enjoyed playing golf and pinochle. Survivors include one son, Jake (Tracy) Malott of Belleville, IL; four daughters, Peggy Malott of Mt. Vernon, IL, Patty (Doug) Williams of Woodlawn, IL, Gila Todd of Jackson, MO and Marcy Rainey of Coulterville, IL; two brothers, Jim (Amy) Malott of Tilden, IL and Eugene Malott of Coulterville, IL; one sister, Dolores Cook of St. Charles, MO; seven grandchildren, Anthony Gresham, Ryan Gresham, Brittany (Joe) Tolbert, Dyllan Wayland, Credence Jacob Malott, Chloe Halley and Carter Halley; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Jerry, Ewart, George and Jackie in infancy; and one brother-in-law, Paul Cook. Memorial services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with family members officiating. Interment will be in Swanwick Bethel Cemetery, Swanwick, IL with military graveside rites by V.F.W. Post #6865, Coulterville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Swanwick Bethel Cemetery, Veterans Administration, and Hospice of Southern Illinois.
