Kenneth Edward "Ken" Harre's Obituary
Kenneth Edward Harre, age 64 of Oakdale, IL, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2009 at 3:40 a.m. in Washington County Hospital, Nashville, IL. Ken was born on December 30, 1944 in Centralia, IL, a son to Raymond W. and Ida L. (Kuhlman) Harre. On April 14, 1984, he married Cindy Brammeier in the Oakdale United Presbyterian Church and she survives. Ken was a member of the Oakdale Presbyterian Church, he was baptized on January 14, 1945 and confirmed on March 30, 1958 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Nashville, IL. He was a self employed farmer, worked at General Tire for twenty-five years, served as a board member at Washington County Hospital, enjoyed tractor pulls and watching basketball games, but he especially enjoyed playing with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, five daughters: Kendra (Hank) Foster of Dahlonega, GA, Stefanie (Clinton) Bauza of Nashville, IL, Jayme (Kyle) Schoenherr, Samantha Harre and Breanne Harre all of Oakdale, IL, three brothers: Rev. Richard (Ruth) Harre of Auburn, IL, Danny (Barb) Harre and Kevin (Sue) Harre of Nashville, IL, four sisters: Marilyn (Buck) Stiegman of Nashville, IL, Marcile (Ron) Jack of Farmington, MO, Phyllis (Rodney) Silgar of Hoyleton, IL and Deb (Brad) Meyer of Nashville, IL, one sister-in-law: Midge Harre of Nashville, IL, twelve grandchildren: Alyssa, Jenna, McKenna, Schae, Colten and Brynn Foster, Cody, Brayden and Anna Bauza, Carter and Ty Schoenherr and Jackson Jetton and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother: Bill Harre and one sister: Margene Reves. Funeral services will be held at Oakdale United Presbyterian Church, Oakdale, IL on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. with Phil Carson and Ron Mazander officiating. Interment will be in Oakdale Cemetery, Oakdale, IL. Friends may call on Monday at Oakdale United Presbyterian Church, Oakdale, IL from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to Oakdale Grade School or Washington County Hospital.
