Kenneth Sawyer Graskewicz's Obituary
Kenneth Sawyer Graskewicz, age 84, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 9:29 p.m., in Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Pinckneyville, IL.
Kenneth was born on February 21, 1940 in Pinckneyville, IL, a son to Marion Henry and Dorothy (Sawyer) Graskewicz. On June 20, 1961 Kenneth married Ruby Mae Anderson at the Methodist Church in Pinckneyville, IL. She preceded him in death on October 25, 2017. He honorably served in the United States Army. Kenneth worked many years as a coal miner for Streamline Mine and for Captain Mine, he also worked many years for the United States Postal Service. At a young age he became a member of the Masonic Mitchell Lodge #85 AF & AM in Pinckneyville, IL and was also a member of the St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL. Kenneth enjoyed hunting; he was an avid waterfowler. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his three sons, Wade (Lisa) Graskewicz of Pinckneyville, IL, Kerry (Beth) Graskewicz of Cutler, IL, and Barry (Wendy) Graskewicz of Keytesville, MO; one brother, Jon (Jan) Graskewicz of Florida; one sister, Eva Lee (Roy) Petrey of Georgia; ten grandchildren, Daphne (Luis) Prado, Skyler (Olivia) Graskewicz, Drew (Alyssa) Dudek, Hayley (Alec) Idoni, Tyler (Kate) Graskewicz, Chase (Kristen) Graskewicz, Olivia Graskewicz, Bailey (fiancé Patrick Connor) Graskewicz, Riley Graskewicz, and Brady Graskewicz; and one brother-in-law, Bob (Deanna) Anderson of Washington, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and loving wife.
Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL, on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., with Father John Igew officiating. Interment will be at Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Illinois.
Visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
