Katie Cook's Obituary
Katie Cook, age 92, of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at 2:19 p.m. in Randolph County Care Center, Sparta, IL.
Katie was born on August 22, 1926 in Belleville, IL, a daughter to James and Anna (Steele) Patton. She had married Robert C. Cook and he preceded her in death. Katie was of the Methodist faith and had worked for Town and Country restaurant as a waitress. She was a member of V.F.W auxiliary and was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, her dog, Ruby, traveling, listening to music especially, Waylon Jennings, being a homemaker and taking care of her family.
Survivors include her son, Steve (Mary) Cook of Fairview Heights, IL; a daughter, Vicki Hood (Herb Simmons) of Coulterville, IL; and two grandchildren, Michael Cook and Allen Cook.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Cook; son, Ricky Cook; sister, Bessie Foertsch; and grandson, Ryan Hood.
A graveside memorial service will be held at Coulterville City Cemetery on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Paul Ritter officiating.
