Joseph Cholewa's Obituary
Joseph R. Cholewa, age 75, of Pinckneyville, IL, formerly of Chicago, IL and Miami, FL, passed away Saturday afternoon, September 2, 2006 at 3:55 p.m. at his home. Joseph was born October 11, 1930 in Lyons, IL the son of Martin and Stella (Ciosek) Cholewa. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and worked as a restaurant operator. He was united in marriage to Irene Davis on November 11, 1987 in Las Vegas, NV and she survives. Joseph was of the Catholic Faith and loved to play golf. Joseph is survived by his wife Irene of Pinckneyville, IL, a brother, Raymond Cholewa of Big Rock, IL, and two sisters, Bernice Morel of Lyons, IL and Alice Lebed and husband Thomas of Plainfield, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday morning, September 6, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL with Father Brian Barker officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in Pinckneyville, IL Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. and again on the day of the Service from 8:00 a.m. till 9:30 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Luke Memorial Hospice or Hospital Home Care.
