My name is Steve Morris & I live in Pinckneyville. I am originally from Lewistown IL & worked at Consolidation Coal Company's Norris Mine until it's closing. I then worked at CONSOL's Burning Star #2 mine until 1987. The Norris mine is where I met John. I respected John's fairness & work ethics. Working at this mine, with & for it's employees, were the most rewarding & satisfying times of my working career. John helped make it that way ... I hope he knew.
