John Dale Keim, age 81, of DuQuoin, IL, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 7:44 a.m. in Marshall Browning Hospital, DuQuoin, IL. John was born on October 14, 1935 in DuQuoin, IL, a son to John Henry and Margaret May (Harris) Keim. He was a Veteran in the United States Air Force having served as a military police officer at Scott Air Force Base, Saint Clair County, IL. John was a coal miner and a painter. He enjoyed hunting, target shooting, fishing, taxidermy, had his private pilot license and loved outdoor activities. Survivors include two sisters, Barbara Bradford of Hurst, TX and "Pat" Patricia Ann (Tom) Jones of Deming, NM; one niece, Angela (John) Snell; three nephews, Erik Bradford, Brett (Claudia) Bradford and Paul (Amy) Jones; and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, David George Bradford. Private graveside services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, DuQuoin, IL. Pyatt Funeral Home, DuQuoin, IL is in charge of arrangements.
