Jo Carol Hiller's Obituary
Jo Carol Hiller, age 48, of Pinckneyville passed away on Monday, September 17, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. in her home. Jo was born on January 29, 1959 in Pinckneyville, a daughter to James L. and Betty L. (Smith) Hill. On May 27, 2005, she married Shawn Hiller in Jackson County and he survives. She attended Roe's Dale Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, was a secretary for Dr. David Marsden, DDS for over 21 years, a member of Elks Auxiliary, a Red Cross volunteer, a trained child advocate volunteer with C.A.S.A., a former Candy Striper, and loved kids, baking, and cooking. Survivors include her husband: Shawn of Pinckneyville, two step-sons: Ryan and Devin Hiller of Pinckneyville, one step-daughter: Lauren (James Prochaska) Hiller of Nashville, two brothers: Dale (Madelyn) Hill of Pinckneyville and Randy Hill of Ashley, one sister: Vida (Bill) Zimmer of Kenosha, WI, two grandsons: Lane and Riley Prochaska of Nashville, and numerous nieces and nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son in infancy: Samuel Ryan Kelly, and a sister-in-law: Cherri Hill. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Roe's Dale Baptist Church, Pinckneyville with Rev. Charles Smith officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. Thursday morning visitation will be held at Roe's Dale Baptist Church from 9:00 a.m. till 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Luke Memorial Hospice, Pinckneyville.
