Jim Kimzey's Obituary
Jim Kimzey, age 88, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2015 in Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Pinckneyville, IL. Jim was born on January 23, 1927 in Pinckneyville, IL, a son to Willard and Alice (McCrary) Kimzey. On September 18, 1948 he married Lois Neville in Pinckneyville, IL and she preceded him in death on October 18, 2014. Jim was a veteran of the United States Army proudly serving his country during WWII. He worked as machinist at My-T-Fine Pudding, Pinckneyville, IL for over 30 years and was a member of Beaucoup Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL. Jim loved mowing grass for other people, woodworking, big band music and photography. He is survived by his son, Charles (Diana) Kimzey of Arnold, MO; four grandchildren, Katherine Kimzey, Charles Kimzey, David Kimzey and Nancy Ross; and one great-grandchild, Peter Ross. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Martha Heape and grandson in-law, Will Ross. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Mark Lee officiating. Interment will be in Galum Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the donor's choice.
