Jerome Lueker's Obituary
Jerome 'Jerry' Lueker, age 59, of Pinckneyville, IL, died suddenly Friday afternoon, July 4, 2008 in the Pinckneyville Community Hospital Emergency Room. Jerry was born on July 12, 1948 in Pinckneyville, IL a son of Frederick W. and Virginia (Blumhorst) Lueker. On June 14, 1969, he married Cherie Meadows at St. Paul U.C.C. Church in Pinckneyville, IL and she survives. Jerry worked as an accountant at Pinckneyville Correctional Center, was a member of St. Paul U. C.C. Church, Ainad Shriners, Mitchell Lodge 85 AF & AM and AFSCME Local 943. He loved the Pittsburg Steelers, horse racing, his dogs and especially spending time with his family and friends. Jerry is survived by his wife: Cherie, a son: Jeremy Lueker (fiancé: Eve Preuss) of Pinckneyville, IL, his mother: Virginia Lueker of Pinckneyville, IL, a brother: Thomas (Shirley) Lueker of Mt. Sterling, KY, nieces and nephews: Tricia, T.J., and Dustin Lueker, special friends: Reggie, Diane and Chelsea Petty and many other dear friends. He is preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Alan Wendell Janneke officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Siteman Cancer Center, St. Louis, MO.
