Jeannine M. Watts' Obituary
Jeannine M. Watts, age 84, of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 3:14 a.m. in Randolph County Care Center, Sparta, IL.
Jeannine was born on July 30, 1937 in Belleville, IL, a daughter to Edward and Esther (Brochetto) Gabel. On December 9, 1967, she married Richard Watts in Caseyville, IL and he preceded her in death on November 9, 2021 after almost 54 years of marriage. Jeannine had worked at World Color Press, Sparta, IL for over 20 years. She was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed painting, gardening, sewing, crossword puzzles, and working on projects like the log cabin she built in her backyard which she made into her tool shed.
Survivors include her two sons, Steve Helvey of Cahokia, IL and Jason Watts of Coulterville, IL; two daughters, Gina Maschhoff (Matt Heggemeier) of Woodlawn, IL and Terry (Gary) Cox of Leonardtown, MD; a son-in-law, Terry Hepp of Campbell Hill, IL; a sister, Lynn Gabel Fulte of Belleville, IL; a sister-in-law, Marilyn (Paul) Ping of Coulterville, IL; seven grandchildren, Chris Bergfield, Brett (Michelle) Cox, Kristina Helvey, Damien Hepp, Ryan (Jessica) Spenner, Olivia Spenner (fiancé, Michael Haselhorst) and Alex Spenner; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Watts; a daughter, Beverly Hepp; a brother, Richard Gabel; and a sister-in-law, Jenny Gabel.
Funeral services will be at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. with Richard Lynch officiating. Interment will be in Coulterville Cemetery, Coulterville, IL.
Visitation will be at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday morning at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
