Jarrett W. Kitchen's Obituary
Jarrett W. Kitchen, age 33, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2010 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Jarrett was born on November 16, 1976 in Pinckneyville, IL, a son to Willis B. and Diane (Heiple) Kitchen, Jr. On August 13, 2005, he married Crystal Stanley at the American Legion, DuQuoin, IL and she survives. Jarrett was a member of the Old DuQuoin Baptist Church, DuQuoin, IL and worked as a correctional officer for the Perry County Sherriff's Department for seven years. He enjoyed online gaming, scuba diving and was a scuba diving instructor. Jarrett will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Jarrett is survived by his wife, Crystal Kitchen of Pinckneyville, IL; father, Willis B. Kitchen, Jr. of Swanwick, IL; mother, Diane Kitchen of Pinckneyville, IL; one son, Austin Rian Hagston of Pinckneyville, IL; one brother, Jason (Janet) Kitchen of Pinckneyville, IL; mother-in-law, Tina (Gary) Tennison of DuQuoin, IL; father- in -law, Dean (Lou) Stanley of Tamaroa, IL; paternal grandmother, Virginia Kitchen of Granite City, IL; two uncles, Danny Heiple of Swanwick, IL and Tom (Marsha) Heiple of Iuka, IL; nieces and nephews, Devin and Dalton Kitchen, Dalton and Mercedes Day, Dedrick Melvin and Brooklyn Clark; cousins, Karley, Zoey, and Justin Heiple; special friends, Mike Ridgway of Aurora, IL and Eric Knapp of Tamaroa, IL; and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Willis B. Kitchen, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Carl and LaVern Heiple; and one uncle, Jimmy Heiple. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Ted Clark officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. and then at the church from 10:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pinckneyville Community Hospital Oncology Department or V.N.A. TIP Hospice.
