Janice J. Stroehlein's Obituary
Janice J. Stroehlein, age 76, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 in her home.
Janice was born on December 15, 1939 in Centralia, IL, a daughter to Joseph and Bonnie (Hiltabidel) Miller. On April 24, 1958, she married John W. Stroehlein in Mt. Vernon, IL and he preceded her in death on March 19, 2003. Janice was of the Baptist faith and worked as a chief testing operator at Technicolor, Pinckneyville, IL for over 30 years. She enjoyed playing bingo, cards, going to casinos, collecting roosters, and salt and pepper shakers, shopping on the internet and surfing the web. Janice loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, family get-togethers, especially at Christmas and visiting with her friends. Survivors include two sons, John D. Stroehlein of Pinckneyville, IL and Louie H. Stroehlein of Pinckneyville, IL; two daughters, Laura D (Matthew) Gnutek of South Elgin, IL and Chris (Thomas) Lively of Pinckneyville, IL; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren with one on the way and one brother, Ted (Linda) Miller of Centralia, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a granddaughter, Stephanie Stroehlein; two brothers, Roy Miller and Elvin Miller and one sister, Darlene Miller. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Rob Mathis officiating. Interment will be in Galum Presbyterian Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday morning from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Janice J. Stroehlein family.
