James William Lunnemann's Obituary
James William "Jim" Lunnemann, age 54, of rural Pinckneyville, passed away on Monday evening, May 8, 2006 as the result of a farming accident. Jim was born on July 8, 1951 in DuQuoin, IL, the son of Jacob H. "Jake" and Helen B. (Yung) Lunnemann. He married Julia A. Davison on September 15, 1972 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, DuQuoin, and she survives. He was an active member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, a member of the Knights of Columbus #2921, Pinckneyville, a past member of the Future Farmer's of America, a former member of the St. Bruno School Board, past-president of the St. Bruno Athletic Association, a member and former officer of the Illinois Beef Association and a member of the Perry County Farm Bureau. Jim was a grain and livestock farmer and an avid basketball fan. Survivors include his wife: Julie Lunnemann of Pinckneyville, mother: Helen Lunnemann of Pinckneyville, five children: Jennifer Robb, and her husband, Rich, of Pinckneyville, Jamie Schrader, and her husband, Chad, of DuQuoin, Jillian Lunnemann of St. Louis, MO, Jenea Lunnemann and Jason Lunnemann of Pinckneyville, a grandson: James W. Robb of Pinckneyville, sisters: Donna Fedderke, and her husband, Stanley, of Pinckneyville, and Judy Backhus, and her husband, George, of Belleville, and one niece and four nephews, one great-nephew, along with numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be held in St. Bruno Catholic Church on Friday, May 12, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Brian Barker officiating. Interment will be in St. Bruno Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville on Thursday, May 11, 2006 from 3:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. and on Friday, May 12, 2006 at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. till 9:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited at the funeral home on Friday at 9:00 a.m. The family would prefer that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the St. Bruno School Endowment Fund or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
