James Logan's Obituary
James W. "Bob" Logan, age 87, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away at his home Saturday morning, September 23, 2006. Bob was born in Pinckneyville, IL, September 30, 1918 the son of James and Blanche Helen (Norbury) Logan. He was united in marriage to Eva Pearl Boykin in DuQuoin, IL, December 6, 1945 and she preceded him in death April 16, 2005. Bob served in the U.S. Army during WWII serving in the South Pacific, was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Carpenters Local, and a member of the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL. Bob worked as a carpenter, owning Bob Logan Contracting, and enjoyed wood carving. Bob is survived by two sons, Charles Robert Logan of Pinckneyville, IL and Bobbie Joe Logan of Paloma, IL , one daughter, Mary Lynn Stevenson and husband Danny of DuQuoin, IL, eight grandchildren, Nikki Marie Teel (Doug), Barry James Logan, Jennifer Logan, Joshua Logan, Jill Logan, Jamie Jo Gaines (Craig), J.R. Stevenson (Melissa), Ashley Stevenson, 8 Great Grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, Jack Logan. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning, September 26, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in Pinckneyville, IL with Reverend Rick Hatley officiating. Interment will be in the Mueller Hill Cemetery in Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home on Monday evening from 4:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. and again on the day of the service from 8:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Luke Memorial Hospice. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Presswood-Daffron American Legion.
