James Kiehn's Obituary
James Edward Kiehn, age 67, of DuQuoin, IL, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 6:48 a.m. in his home. Jim was born on August 2, 1946 in Pinckeyville, IL, a son to Arthur Joseph and Mary Irene (Johnson) Kiehn. On December 30, 2005, he married Judith Ann Fitzpatrick in Panama City, FL and she survives. He had worked as a coal miner for Amax for 35 years before he retired. He was a member of U.M.W.A., enjoyed Nascar, working in his garage and maintaining his cars and loved music. Survivors include his wife, Judi Kiehn of DuQuoin, IL; five step-children, Debra (Jody) Goetting of Pinckneyville, IL, Rick (Crystal) Peradotto of Elizabethton, TN, Ronda (Scott) Lagow of Jacksonville, FL, Amy (Barry) Grant of St. Louis, MO and Brad (Christy) Crane of Carbondale, IL; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and cousins; as well as special friends, Paul "Butch" and Jane Stern of DuQuoin, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents. Graveside services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, DuQuoin, IL on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Kent Eaton and Reverend Donna Blythe officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or Siteman Cancer Center, St. Louis, MO. Pyatt Funeral Home, DuQuoin, IL is in charge of arrangements.
