Jacquelyn R. Kuhnert's Obituary
Jacquelyn R. Kuhnert, age 88, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at 4:35 p.m. in Washington County Hospital, Nashville, IL. Jacquelyn was born on January 1, 1925 in Tamaroa, IL, a daughter to Walter and Mabel (Rice) Owens. On December 20, 1941, she married Herbert S. George in Perryville, MO and he preceded her in death on August 16, 1956. She then married Harmon Kuhnert on June 29, 1963 in Winkle Baptist Church, Winkle, IL and he preceded her in death on February 8, 2007. Jacquelyn was a member of Winkle Baptist Church, Winkle, IL and enjoyed quilting, fishing and loved to read. She dearly loved spending time with her children and her grandchildren. Survivors include two sons, Robert (Lorraine) George of Alden, IA and Allen (Terry) George of Pinckneyville, IL; two daughters, Karen (Gary) Akers of Beckemeyer, IL and Diann (Rodney) Tuthill of Tamaroa, IL; three step-sons, Roger (Sue) Kuhnert of Swanwick, IL, James (Zella) Kuhnert of Swanwick, IL and Donald (Donna) Kuhnert of Pinckneyville, IL; one brother, Robert L. Owens; one sister, Carole (Bob) Murry of Tamaroa, IL; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; several great- great grandchildren and numerous nieces; nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; one brother; four sisters; two granddaughters; and one great-grandson. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Jeff Downard officiating. Interment will be in Tamaroa Cemetery, Tamaroa, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
