Ivan L. Beetley's Obituary
Ivan L. Beetley, age 67, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. peacefully in his home. Ivan was born on January 14, 1945 in Red Bud, IL a son to Edward and Emma (Kocian) Beetley. On November 21, 1964, he married Darlene Elliot and she survives. Later, he married Janet Steele on March 3, 1984 and she survives. Ivan was of the Christian faith and he loved reading his bible. He worked as an electrician at Taylor Brothers Welding in Tamaroa, IL until he retired in 2006. He loved sports and was an avid Pinckneyville Panther and St. Louis Cardinal fan. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and spending time with his family and friends. Ivan is survived by four sons, Kevin (Becki) Gilmore and Keith (Krystal) Gilmore all of Texas, Stacy Hackworth and Nathan Beetley of Pinckneyville, IL; a daughter, Lesli Young of Pinckneyville, IL; twelve grandchildren; brother, Albert (Lori) Beetley of Baldwin, IL; sister, Clarabelle Woodside of Pinckneyville, IL; one aunt, Pauline Cometto of Coulterville, IL; many dear cousins; nieces; nephews; and his two best buddies, Jerry Kelly of Swanwick, IL and Jerry Patterson of Tamaroa, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lila Florkowski. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Rob Mathis officiating. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery, Swanwick, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home on Monday, 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Family of Ivan Beetley.
