Irene A. Loos, age 95, of Pinckneyville, IL died on Friday, November 3, 2006 in the Fair Acres Nursing Home in DuQuoin, IL at 3:20 p.m. Irene was born in Pinckneyville, IL on June 6, 1911 the daughter of Frank and Ida E. (Feik) Wesslen. She married Frank Loos and he preceded her in death. She was a member of the St. Bruno Catholic Church in Pinckneyville, was a housewife and especially enjoyed gardening. Survivors include 2 sisters, Agnes Miller of Pinckneyville, IL and Ida Wesslen of Visalia, CA, 1 brother, John Wesslen and wife Dorothy of Pinckneyville, IL, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 5 sisters, Mildred McDonald, Marie Mann, Florence Wesslen, Clara Wesslen and an infant sister Edna Wesslen, and 2 brothers, Robert Wesslen and James Wesslen. A funeral mass will be held at the St. Bruno Catholic Church in Pinckneyville on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Brian Barker officiating. Interment will be in the Mueller Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in Pinckneyville, IL on Monday, November 6, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. till 9:30 a.m. with the rosary being recited at 9:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Mueller Hill Cemetery or masses will be accepted at the funeral home.
