Iona Marie Caupert's Obituary
Iona Marie Caupert, age 90, of St. Louis, MO, formerly of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2014 at 7:55 a.m. in Randolph County Care Center, Sparta, IL. Iona was born on June 23, 1924 in rural Cutler, IL, a daughter to Henry C. and Lydia (Lampe) Caupert. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, St. Louis, MO and a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lost Prairie, IL. She retired after 35 years as an accounting clerk in the tax department for Monsanto Chemical Company, St. Louis, MO. Survivors include two step-nieces; three step-nephews; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Esther (Zimmerman) Caupert; an infant brother, Harold Caupert; two sisters, Laurina Caupert and an infant sister; a step-brother, Melvin Zimmerman; a step-sister, Annette Kuehner; and a step-nephew. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Randy Asburry officiating. Interment will be in Lost Prairie Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Lost Prairie Cemetery Association, Hope Lutheran Church or to the donor's choice.
