Inez Fae Ferrero's Obituary
Inez Fae Ferrero, age 86, of Pinckneyville, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2007 at 9:53 p.m. in Parkway Manor, Marion, IL. Inez Fae was born on July 12, 1920, in Pinckneyville, a daughter to Ernest and Lillie (McDonnough) Geistdoerfer. On December 26, 1942, she married Milton J. Ferrero in Perryville, MO and he preceded her in death on August 25, 1996. In her lifetime, she was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, and with her two-year teaching degree from Southern Illinois Normal University, Carbondale, was a teacher at the former Wylie & Van Brundt one-room schools in Perry County, IL. She loved reading and her grandchildren. Survivors include one daughter: Dawn and husband Michael McClay of Carterville, one sister: Lois Rigdon of Pinckneyville, five grandchildren: Bart and wife Kathy Ferrero, Natalie and husband Brad Colvis, Nicholas and wife Maud McClay, Mitchell McClay, and Meredith McClay, seven great-grandchildren: Savannah, Calvin, Aurelia, and Brenna Colvis, and Garrison, Shane and Elizabeth Ferrero. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one son: Gary Ferrero.
Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, on Monday, May 21, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Charles Boling and Brother Rick Hatley officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville on Sunday from 6:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. and then at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.
