Imogene Vernice Hepp's Obituary
Imogene Vernice Hepp, age 83, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 8:50 p.m. in Fairview Nursing Home, DuQuoin, IL. Imogene was born on July 8, 1933 in Perry County, IL, a daughter to Aristidy and Vernie Doris (Hutchings) Ferrari. On September 6, 1952, she married Martin Ralph Hepp at T.L. Templeton's home, Pinckneyville, IL and he preceded her in death on September 1, 2014. Imogene was a homemaker, a cook at the Pinckneyville High School, worked at home health care and as a nurse's aide and worked at Forest City Garment Factory for a short time. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL, Women's Club, Perry County Home Extension and enjoyed quilting, gardening, cooking, traveling and spending time with family and friends and loved going to Panther basketball games. She is survived by two sons, Doug (Brenda) Hepp of Pinckneyville, IL and David (Cindy) Hepp of Pinckneyville, IL; one daughter, Laurie Ann (Clay) Jenkel of Tamaroa, IL; one brother, Ralph (Jeanette) Ferrari of Pinckneyville, IL; nine grandchildren, Megan Farmer, Lindsay (Eric) Norman, Noah (Tiffany) Hepp, Aaron Hepp, Taylor Hepp, Tanon Leonard, Treyton Leonard, J.D. Jenkel and Seohyun Lee; seven great-grandchildren, Ashton and Luka Norman, Lexi and Ryleigh Farmer, Summer Brand, Violet Vashti Imogene Hepp, Daniel Kuhnert; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, Paul Ferrari; and one grandson, Joshua Hepp. Funeral Services will be held at First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL on February 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Mark Lee and Dr. Jay Lowder officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Concord Cemetery.
