Ilene Stephenson's Obituary
Ilene Stephenson, age 75, of Pinckneyville, passed away on Friday, October 26, 2007 at 6:08 a.m. in Pinckneyville Community Hospital. Ilene was born on December 11, 1931 in Pinckneyville, a daughter to John E. and Roberta Lucille (Chapman) Baudison. On June 17, 1950, she married Ed Stephenson in Pinckneyville and he survives. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, ILGWU, Pinckneyville Women's Club, and was an accomplished seamstress in Pinckneyville and the surrounding area. She had previously worked as a seamstress at Pinckneyville Garment Factory, Bridal Originals in DuQuoin and Sparta, and ended her career doing alterations at Ruthie's Bridal Shop, Carbondale. Survivors include her husband: Ed of Pinckneyville, a son: Denny (Donna) Stephenson of Avon Lake, OH, two daughters: Beth (David) Bolling of Pinckneyville, and Donna Baker of Denver, CO, one brother: Bob (Mabel) Baudison of Pinckneyville, eight grandchildren: Jay (Kelly) Pursell of Waterloo, IL, Kyle Pursell of Pinckneyville, Jill Pursell of Toronto, CA, Elizabeth (Sean) Hughes of Glenview, IL, Mary Katherine Stephenson of Avon Lake, OH, Joey Stephenson of Avon Lake, OH, Roger (Angela) Minton III of Fort Campbell, KY, and Kaleigh Minton of Marion, IL, two step-grandchildren: Erik (Danielle) Bolling, and Angela Bolling, all of Carterville, IL, three great-grandchildren: Easton Pursell, and Alex and Aiden Minton, and a niece: Staci Liske of Nashville, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held in First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville on Monday, October 29, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Rick Hatley officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville. Friends may call at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., on Monday at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. till 8:30 a.m., and then at the church from 9:00 a.m. till 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville.
