Ida Elizabeth Wesseln's Obituary
Ida Elizabeth Wesseln, age 98, of Visalia, CA, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021 in her home.
Ida was born on April 4, 1922 in Pinckneyville, IL, a daughter to Frank H. and Ida E. (Feik) Wesseln. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Visalia, CA. Ida had retired as a stewardess on a luxury cruise liner after 21 years and had also designed yearbooks for 21 years. She was the seventh child and lived longer than any of her siblings and she was the last to pass away.
Survivors include numerous special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and ten siblings, Irene Loos, Agnes Miller, Florence Wesseln, Clara Wesseln, Marie Mann, John H. Wesseln, Edna Wesseln (infant), Robert Wesseln, Mildred McDonald, and James Wesseln.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Augustine Ibezimako officiating. Interment will be in St. Bruno Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Arthritis Foundation.
Covid-19 restrictions will be enforced and all attendees are asked to wear a mask.
