Helen Louise Hoffman, age 94, of Pinckneyville, IL passed away on Monday, April 4, 2016 at 5:30 a.m. in Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehabilitation, Pinckneyville, IL. Helen was born on August 20, 1921 in Pinckneyville, IL, a daughter to William Henry and Erla Emily (Jones) Borman. On May 27, 1939, she married William Frederick Hoffman in Perryville, MO and he preceded her in death on June 24, 1995. Helen was a member of New Hope Community Church, Pinckneyville, IL and enjoyed crocheting, liked fishing and camping with her husband and quilting. Helen loved going on vacation and especially loved her children and grandchildren. Survivors include a son, William Frederick (Jeanette) Hoffman, Jr. of Pinckneyville, IL; a daughter, Erla Beth (Leroy) Lacy of Pinckneyville, IL; four grandchildren, Dawn (J.J.) Zmudzinski, Christopher (Tammy) Lacy, Tanya Gralbarith and Shane Hoffman; twelve great-grandchildren, Timothy, Zachary, Karrington, Nathan, Kate, Kyle, Mike, Hayden, Chris, Shaelynn, Taylor and Tyler; two great-great grandchildren, Alyssa and Abel and one sister-in-law, Bernice Smith of Pinckneyville, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Wanda Dipple and Gertrude McCormick Funeral services will be held at New Hope Community Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor James Clardy officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to New Hope Community Church for Peace Missions of India. Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
