Harriet June Stanton, age 84, of Centralia, IL, formerly of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022 in her granddaughter's home in DuQuoin, IL. June was born on August 24, 1937, in Carbondale, IL, a daughter to Read Obituary

I worked for Don at PCHS. He was my mentor and a close personal friend. June was a wonderful person. I last visited June in her home shortly after Don's death. We talked for several hours about old times. I am very sorry for your loss.
June and I were friends throughout school. Played some Golf with her too. Always enjoyed being with her and we spent a lot of time at the cafe her mom ran I Pinckneyville.
So many memories that I will hold dear in my heart. She and Coach were like family to us ! Loved them dearly.
Brandi I am so very sorry for your loss. I know she was a shining light in your life and will continue to be from Heaven. Love to you and the family.

I had a nice long talk with her about a year ago, I was a Birkner my uncle was Russell so I new Don and June a very long time he was a teacher in pville when I was in high school. Last time I visited with them was at my 50 year class reunion in 2013. I will be working so can't attend visitation.
