Grace L. (Dinkins) Gann's Obituary
Grace L. (Dinkins) Gann, age 90, of Pinckneyville, IL passed away at Pinckneyville Community Hospital at 1:53 p.m. on Friday June 13, 2008. Grace was born on May 24, 1918 in Lynn, Indiana to Paul Clark and Teresa (Brown). On June 17, 1945 she married Russell Dinkins in Richmond, IN and he preceded her in death on June 17, 1980. She then married George D. Gann on July 13, 1983 and he preceded her in death on June 16, 2007. Grace was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pinckneyville, IL. She was a member of the bridge club in Pinckneyville and enjoyed traveling, crocheting and knitting. Grace is survived by two sons: Donald (Marylin) Dinkins of Pinckneyville, IL and Charles (Carolyn) Dinkins of Pinckneyville, IL, seven grandchildren: Jeff (Myra) Dinkins, Steeleville, IL, Lisa Porter, Dowell, IL, Patrick (Amy) Dinkins, Republic, MI, Donald Dinkins Jr. Carbondale, IL, Mike Dinkins, Effingham, IL, Chad Dinkins, Nashville, TN, Cheryl (Jason) Clark, Pinckneyville, IL, ten great-grandchildren: Devin, Derik, Steve, Natasha, Lindsey, Jessi, Hannah, Trevor, Hunter, and Holden. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, and one daughter: Linda in 1948. Funeral services will be on Monday, June 16, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Pinckneyville, IL with the Reverend Jim Barnett officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, DuQuoin, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Sunday, June 15, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again on Monday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. and then at the church from 10:00 a.m. until services. Memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society or the First united Methodist Church, Pinckneyville, IL
