Geneva L. "Gege" Foster's Obituary
Geneva L. "Gege" Foster, age 92 of DuQuoin, IL passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2011 in Fairview Nursing Center, DuQuoin, IL. Geneva was born on September 8, 1918 in Perry County, IL, a daughter to Auda and Mary (Mueller) Keene. On January 28, 1940, she married Sidney Charles Foster in St. Charles, MO and he preceded her in death on June 12, 1999. Geneva was a member of First Baptist Church, DuQuoin, IL and was a member of the Sunday school class. She sold Avon for over 50 years and enjoyed visiting with her friends and meeting new people. Geneva is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Winnie Keene; and three sisters, Ethel Kellerman, Bessie Carson, and Wanda Holloway. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, DuQuoin, IL on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Rob Mathis officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Baptist Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, DuQuoin, IL on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, DuQuoin, IL.
