Gary Lee Carns' Obituary
Gary Lee Carns, age 45, of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2009 at 4:30 p.m. in Pinckneyville Community Hospital, Pinckneyville, IL. Gary was born on May 24, 1963 in Jacksonville, FL, a son to Ronald and Mildred "Mickey" (Kahl) Carns. On July 18, 1980, he married Lisa Hicks in the United Methodist Church, Coulterville, IL, and she survives. Gary was a 1981 graduate of Coulterville High School. He was a "Jack of all trades" and loved spending time outdoors especially fishing, hunting and tending to his garden. He is survived by his wife: Lisa Carns of Coulterville, IL, father: Ronald and his wife: Jean Carns of Marissa, IL, two sons: Jamey (Misty) Carns of Nashville, IL and Nate Carns of Coulterville, IL, one sister: Leslie (Jay) Lehman of Marissa, IL, four grandchildren: Hunter, Denver and Skyler Gill and Ember Carns and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother: Mildred "Mickey" Carns and one grandson: Blake Keeton. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Monday, April 20, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Gail Geisel officiating. Interment will be in Coulterville City Cemetery, Coulterville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
