Gail A. McDonnough's Obituary
Gail A. McDonnough, age 62, of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 8:12 p.m. in her home.
Gail was born on March 18, 1959 in St. Louis, MO, a daughter to Richard "Dickie" and Kathy (Ward) Travis. On May 24, 1997, she married Bruce McDonnough and enjoyed 23 years of marriage together before he passed away on July 8, 2020. She was a homemaker and devoted mom and grandmother who cherished spending time with her family. Gail's passion was making memories with her grandchildren, and ensuring that they knew how much she loved them. Gail was an amazing cook who could cook anything but was exceptional at making egg sandwiches. She loved animals, especially her pets.
Survivors include her one daughter, Amanda (Rafael) Gutierrez of St. Louis, MO; one son, Travis (Kishalee) Scheppelman of Freeburg, IL; one brother, Rodney Travis of Crystal City, MO; ex-husband and friend, Larry Scheppelman; and seven grandchildren, Zachary, Trystin, Nolen, Mia, Tanner, Santiago, and Emilio. Gail will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard "Dickie" and Kathy (Ward) Travis; husband, Bruce McDonnough; and uncle, Doug Austin.
Gail's wishes were to be cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
