Freda Jewell Haggard's Obituary
Freda Jewell Haggard, age 98, of Pinckneyville, IL, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, December 16, 2011 at 9:43 p.m. in Fair Acres Nursing Home, DuQuoin, IL. Freda was born on December 29, 1912 in Perry County, IL, the daughter to Frederick and Luvenia (Wrolen) Heiman. Freda married Arnold Neiderbrach in August 1926 in Wickliffe, KY. To this union was born one daughter, Virginia Ivory (Neiderbrach) Kellerman, who preceded Freda in death on January 29, 2009. Freda married William Earl Haggard on October 12, 1937 in Wickliffe, KY and he preceded her in death on February 6, 1965. During her life, Freda worked at Heiman's Restaurant. At the age of seventy, she retired from the Pinckneyville Junior High School as a cafeteria worker. After retiring, Freda volunteered for fifteen years through the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, Western Egyptian E.O.C. She was a member of Roe's Dale Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL, Royal Neighbors and V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. Freda loved traveling, fishing and dearly loved the time she spent with her family. Freda is survived by three grandchildren, Sherry (Lawrence) Bartnicki of Nashville, IL, Clarence S. (Melanie) Kellerman, Sr. of Tamaroa, IL, and Cynthia (Robert, Sr.) Ferrari of Pinckneyville, IL; eleven great grandchildren; eleven great-great grandchildren with two on the way; and several dear nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, one daughter, Virginia Kellerman; son-in-law, Leo Kellerman; three brothers, Harvey, William, and Charles Heiman; two sisters, Elda Mitchell and Pernie Toth; two brothers and three sisters died in infancy. Funeral services will be held at Roe's Dale Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Charles Smith officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, DuQuoin, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Roe's Dale Baptist Church or VNA-Tip Hospice.
