Fred D. Bardle's Obituary
Fred D. Bardle, age 75, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2010 at 11:17 a.m. in Washington County Hospital, Nashville, IL. Fred was born on October 17, 1934, a son to Frederick W. and Carmen (Vordtriede) Bardle. On September 19, 1955, he married Gerry Wright in Pinckneyville, IL and she survives. He served in the United States Army with the Combat Engineers and worked as a coalminer for more than 40 years, retiring from Captain Mine. Fred was a member of Beaucoup Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL, Masonic Lodge, Pinckneyville, IL, the U.M.W.A., the American Thresherman Association and was a scout committeeman for Boy Scout Troop 47, Pinckneyville, IL. He enjoyed camping, NASCAR and deer hunting. Fred loved spending time with his wife and family, but he especially loved spending time with his granddaughter. He is survived by his wife; mother-in-law, Ruby Wright of Pinckneyville, IL; a son, Tom (Patti) Bardle of Pinckneyville, IL; a daughter, Debbie Bardle of Edwards, MO; one granddaughter, Railyn Bardle; one nephew, David Queen of Hazelwood, MO; three cousins, Darlene Jones of Nashville, IL; June Bardle and Glen Bardle, both of St. Louis, MO; and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Wanda Bardle and Faye Queen; and a nephew, Frederick Queen. Funeral services will be held at Beaucoup Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Monday, August 16, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Mark Lee officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, DuQuoin, IL. Friends may call at Beaucoup Baptist Church on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to Beaucoup Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL. Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
