Fred Andreas Maurice Thoms' Obituary
Fred Andreas Maurice Thoms, age 64, of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2011 at 11:00 p.m. in Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO. Fred was born on February 1, 1947 in Coulterville, IL, a son to Andreas and Annie (Lawless) Thoms. Fred delivered papers for the Southern Illinoisan Newspaper for many years. He enjoyed free hand drawing cars and trucks in his younger years, he also loved animals. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends whom he dearly loved. He is survived by one sister, Linda Thoms of Chester, IL; one brother, Frank (Marie) Thoms of Metropolis, IL; one nephew, Frederick Thoms of Metropolis, IL; one niece, Mary (Rick) Canup of Metropolis, IL; two great nieces, Karyn and Chloe Canup; and two dear friends, Cheryl and Amelia. Fred was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Carolyn Thoms. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Coulterville City Cemetery, Coulterville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be given to the Randolph County Humane Society or Nashville Illinois Animal Clinic.
