Francis Glenn Henseler's Obituary
Francis Glenn Henseler, age 88, of Collinsville, IL, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020 at 1:00 a.m. at University Care Center, Edwardsville, IL.
Francis was born on July 31, 1932 in Perry County, IL, a son to Pete and May (McClurken) Henseler. On July 28, 1956, he married Betty Louis in Oak Grove Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL, and she preceded him in death in April 19, 2016. Francis had worked for Jobst Machine Works, St. Louis, MO as a machinist, tool and die maker and diesel mechanic. He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Francis was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL. He liked watching car races and working on cars and motorcycles. He enjoyed watching the stock market and trading online. Francis love to travel, especially going to the ocean beaches and seeing the country. He was selected to go to Germany for work to provide training with Ford, while there he loved sight-seeing and driving the autobahn with his wife.
Survivors include his children, Glenn (Lisa) Henseler of Plano, TX, Kathy (Douglas) Giacoletto of Collinsville, IL and Sheila (Roshan) Bhojwani of West Jordan, UT; eight grandchildren, Christopher Kellerman, Daneila Hansen, LeAnn McElvain, Myles Kellerman, Jake Henseler, Jason Henseler, Ryelee June Henseler and Conner Parry Henseler; seven great-grandchildren, Ella Kellerman, Jakk Kellerman, Jase Kellerman, Thayer Kellerman, William Kellerman, Meridah Kellerman and Kairi Hansen; and two brothers, Roy Henseler of South Roxana, IL and Arthur Henseler of Moro, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Henseler; one son, Parry Henseler; one grandson, Jarron Henseler; three brothers, William Henseler, Robert Henseler and James Henseler; and four sisters, Mary Mae Nanny, Betty Bruno, Ruth Bruno and Annabelle Varn.
Due to new restrictions related to the Covid-19 virus, the family will be holding a private service with Brother Rob Mathis officiating. Interment will be Concord Baptist Cemetery, Rice, IL. Military rites will be performed by the United States Air Force.
Covid resurgence restrictions will be adhered to, attendance will be limited and social distancing will be enforced. All attendees are asked to wear a mask.
