Frances E. Millikin's Obituary
Frances E. Millikin, age 97, of Metropolis, IL, formerly of Pinckneyville, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2008 at 4:22 a.m. at Tender Loving Care Nursing Home in Metropolis. Frances was born July 18, 1910 in Nashville, IL, a daughter to Silas A. and Frances (Lively) Reidelberger. On October 8, 1927, she married Charles R. Millikin and he preceded her in death on September 5, 1991. She was a homemaker and a member of First Apostolic Church in Pinckneyville and loved sewing and quilting. Survivors include two daughters: Betty Ferrero of Metropolis, IL and Thelma (Willie) Coatney of Normal, IL, 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters: Hulda Hildebrand and Janet Masters, one son: Thomas Millikin, one son-in-law: Dean Ferrero, eight brothers, three sisters and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Burke Masters and Clyde Dempsay officiating. Interment will be in Concord Cemetery, Rice, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lourdes Hospice of Paducah, KY or to the Concord Cemetery Association.
